Paper Hearts AirplaneThis Paper Hearts Airplane is completely constructed from different sized hearts. A great Valentines Day craft for anyone, but especially for boys! You can put your heart aircraft on a paper for a Valentine to give, or put them on a box or bag and design your own Valentine box or bag!

Here's what you'll need • Construction paper * Instructions for template: The template will open in a new window; close this window when you are done printing to return to the activity page. You will need Adobe Reader to open the template. If you do not have it you can download it for free here. 
Here's how you make it... 1. First you'll need to cut out 8 hearts (an adult will have to do this for little ones). The secret is to make your hearts long and thin. You will need 1 big heart for the body of the plane; 1 small heart to attach your propeller to the plane; 2 small, thin hearts to make the propeller; 2 medium, thin hearts to make the front wings; and 2 small, thin hearts to make the back wings (see photo). You can easily make great looking hearts by folding the paper in half, cut half a heart, and unfold. OR make it super easy by using our Printable Templates
2. Glue your hearts in place, as shown in the photo. If you're giving this as a Valentine you could write: "Just flying by to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day"; or, you could use white chalk or crayon to write "Happy Valentine's Day" as smoke coming from the back of the airplane, be creative!
