Homemade Fireman Hose
Anyone can put out fires with this Homemade Fireman Hose. This fireman craft is super easy to make with paper tubes, tape and paint. The perfect craft for any future firefighter, preschoolers on up!
Ages: 3 and Up
Here's what you'll need... • Paper tubes • Empty plastic bottle • Scissors • Masking tape • Gray paint and brush
Here's how you make it... 1. Wrap masking tape all around your plastic bottle, hold a piece of paper tube at the bottom of the bottle and wrap tape all around it to attach the bottle to the tube. Wrap the tape all the way to the top of the bottle so that you can paint it when you are finished (paint sticks to tape, not to plastic).
2. Cut your paper tubes into smaller sections. The smaller the sections the more your fireman hose will "bend". We cut ours into 2" sections. The more tubes you have longer your hose will be. 3. Tape the sections of paper tubes together. Don't tape them tightly together (or your hose won't bend well), leave a gap between the tubes and tape over top.
